I have always been captivated by the mysterious beauty and the versatility of this element. The different expressions of surface texture and color treatment allow for a wide range of emotions to be transported. Luckily for me, the renowned and award-winning ZAVAR Company has always agreed to bring my ideas to life, be it for a fashion show or a theater costume. Angel wings, Golden cage, Motherboard – they have supported me through the design and production process with the same amount of dedication and passion.
The opening of the eighteenth Fashion Weekend Skopje kicked off with the celebratory LG collection “Million Miles Time”. Created to mark the 20th anniversary of the brand, the birthday collection was presented at the exclusive location – FAMES PROJECT recording studio.
Inspired by the spirit of a road trip, the creative process and production unfolded over a year-long journey across Europe. Some designs were even crafted in motion, within the confines of a car, as it traveled across the continent. The collection explores themes of breaking personal and societal boundaries, the joy of limitless freedom and the profound sense of liberation and self-expression found in the voyage.
The creations feature the signature elements of the brands distinctive style—luxurious materials, intricate lacework, hand-knitted designs and bold prints. The silhouettes exude a blend of luxury, bohemian charm, and elegance.
Most of the landscapes we encounter during the day are digital rather than real. Photos from various trips, images from the past, present, fairy tales, TV shows and films – all parade deep in our subconscious. No longer certain about the border with the reality, in this real/unreal dance, lines are blurred, fictional landscapes transform into dreamlike forests, with sounds, smells, plants, animals and main characters who may or may not exist.
Landscape no. 22 is a collection that explores the impact of modern technology in correlation with the lack of the essential need for the dose of nature in our daily lives. We spend so much time in the digital realm, and even when surrounded by nature, our experiences are often intertwined with social media and technological distractions.
This collection features the brand’s signature prints, embroidered floral motifs, hand-knitted designs, 3D printed elements, vintage corals and various beads and sequins. Furthermore, the narrative is enriched with stylized embroidery inspired by the ornamentation of Old Slavic manuscripts. A motif from a 16th-century Psalm, which has been a subject of continuous research, makes an appearance once again in the brand’s creative journey.
